Well, I wouldn't say they are "known" ! I know them because I'm a huge metal fan, especially from northern Europe...

Et pour en revenir au sujet, difficile de juger avant qu'ils aient joué mais a priori ça me plait bien ce recrutement nordique.
Le danois est plus proche du norvégien. L'islandais ressemble au vieux norrois, la langue des vikings.
Danish is closer to Norwegian. Icelandic sounds more like old norse, the language spoken by the vikings 1,000 years ago.
Actually, I don´t understand even a bit Icelandic.. It is very different from Danish.. I am a Student in social science and history, and as a bonus information I can tell you that the Danish languish was "founded" if you can say so, back in 1400 hundred and something.. back in the 1700 century , it had a very strong German dialect.. In the 1800 century, the French dialects had a influence on the Danish languish, and in the 1900 century dialects started influence on the Danish languish.. If you go back to the medieval, Latin was the common languish in Denmark, until the start of the 1400 hundred, then the Nordic languish was "founded"
